Social Media Internship

Location: London, UK / Status: Close

Your.MD is now looking for an enthusiastic, diligent and very organised intern who loves and understands all things social media to take the lead with its social media output. They will report to the Head of Content Innovation and Operations with a dotted line to Your.MD’s Web Manager. This newly-created role will be responsible for managing the company’s social media accounts, creating content that can be used across multiple social platforms and analysing the performance of that content.


This is a 3-month paid part-time (3 days a week) role. If you join us, you’ll get to:

  • Produce content (copy, images and video graphics) for our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram channels
  • Upload and showcase content reflecting the work we do at Your.MD
  • Monitor and accurately interpret analytics to determine the effectiveness of campaigns and guide future campaign decisions
  • Work closely with our in-house content and medical teams to regularly craft engaging, informative and medically-accurate social media posts
  • Develop and implement social media account growth strategies
  • Source appropriate imagery (including user-generated content) for use across our key social media channels
  • Work as part of a dynamic team and carve your own space within a fluid working environment


The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required for this role:

  • An in-depth understanding of Instagram, Twitter and Facebook from a commercial perspective
  • Solid experience in successfully growing and running social media accounts
  • An understanding of social media analytics and algorithms
  • Excellent multitasking and photography skills
  • Creativity - the ability to develop campaigns and graphics that will resonate with the Your.MD audience
  • Lots of initiative and a willingness to tackle new challenges on a daily basis
  • Curiosity and persistence: you enjoy figuring out why some social media posts work better than others and are committed to testing new ideas until you find the best strategy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
