The Head of Content will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer. This role is responsible for developing and managing the strategy for Your.MD's content across each of the business areas, heading up a team of editorial copywriters and driving growth through content development and SEO expertise. As a newly established role, the Head of Content will be working with internal stakeholders, to support content execution across Your.MD's products (app & web) and marketing channels.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for driving a team to develop and execute comprehensive content strategy and achieve growth targets
  • Ensure that all content is SEO optimised and drive the overall SEO strategy
  • Ensure that content is developed and executed across different channels depending on the audience and business objectives
  • Utilise data to inform decisions and adjust strategy as required
  • Establish ROI and framework for content success metrics for reporting, analysis and feedback to internal stakeholders
  • Monitor and improve content based on user feedback, research and data
  • Work with the product team to develop product messaging to ensure it aligns with Your.MD's brand and business needs
  • Collaborate with the Medical team to ensure content quality, accuracy and safety
  • Liaise with Analytics team to align and validate insights to improve user experience and tailor initiatives to drive growth
  • Ensure content is delivered on time, on budget and is aligned with the business goals
  • Synthesise large amounts of health or technical information into a cohesive story
  • Stay on top of industry best practices and competitor activity to ensure that Your.MD delivers game-changing ideas and content
  • Understand and support the brand vision through careful execution of the design, messaging and tone of voice

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree/equivalent work experience preferred
  • Management experience as well as resource management
  • Substantial experience of editorial, copy writing and content marketing
  • Strong understanding of SEO
  • 5+ years experience
  • Experience in healthcare is preferred
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing without direct authority
