3 things to try if you're worrying too much

Living under lockdown and feeling fearful of the future may have caused you to worry a lot more.

Once you start to worry, it can be hard to stop -- maybe because you can’t control it or because you find it useful.

One way to help you manage the worries you have is through writing. You could:

  • keep a diary - writing notes of what happens when you feel anxious can help you spot patterns and identify what triggers these feelings. It can also help you to monitor your feelings in general
  • make a note of what’s going well in your life right now so you notice the good things as well as the things that worry you
  • write down your worries and keep them in a particular place, like a notebook or journal, to help you address them
