A morning routine to help you feel positive and productive during lockdown
Monday, 20 April · 2 min read

It’s often said that how you start your morning sets the tone for the rest of the day.

If you’ve been feeling sluggish and unproductive lately, try the following steps tomorrow morning. This may help you to start the day feeling more positive.

  1. Wake up at the same time you would if you were going to work.
  2. Avoid reaching for your phone and scrolling through social media as soon as you wake up.
  3. Avoid watching, reading or listening to the news before breakfast.
  4. Move your body by stretching, dancing or running on the spot for a few minutes*.
  5. Shower and get dressed as if you were going to work.
  6. Make time to eat a balanced, healthy breakfast.

*Only exercise if you have no symptoms and/or if a doctor has told you it’s safe to do so.

Quote of the day

With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts. -- Eleanor Roosevelt
